1. Services Overview
MeshMaine LLC ("MeshMaine," "we," "us") provides temporary WiFi and internet connectivity services for outdoor weddings, events, and corporate gatherings in coastal Maine and the New Hampshire Lakes Region. Our services include the deployment, management, and removal of Starlink satellite terminals and commercial mesh networking equipment at your event venue.
2. Booking & Payment
- Deposit: A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm your booking and reserve your date.
- Balance: The remaining 50% is due no later than 7 days before your event date.
- Rush bookings: Events booked with fewer than 7 days notice are subject to a 25% surcharge.
- Multi-day events: Multi-day events are quoted individually based on scope and requirements.
3. Cancellation & Refunds
- Cancellations made 30 or more days before the event date will receive a full refund of the balance paid (deposit is non-refundable).
- Cancellations made 14–29 days before the event are eligible for a 50% refund of the balance paid.
- Cancellations made fewer than 14 days before the event are not eligible for a refund.
- In the event of severe weather that makes safe setup impossible, we will work with you to reschedule at no additional cost, subject to availability.
4. Service Delivery
- Our team will arrive 2–3 hours before your event to set up equipment.
- Service duration is defined by your selected package (Essential: up to 6 hours, Professional: up to 10 hours, Premium: up to 14 hours).
- Extended hours beyond your package are billed at $50 per additional hour.
- All equipment is provided, deployed, and removed by MeshMaine. Clients are not responsible for any equipment.
5. Service Limitations
While we strive to deliver reliable connectivity at every event, please be aware of the following:
- Satellite dependency: Our service relies on Starlink satellite internet. Performance may be affected by severe weather, satellite congestion, or obstructions that block the satellite signal (dense tree cover, tall buildings).
- Speed variability: Typical download speeds are 100+ Mbps, but actual speeds may vary based on network conditions, number of connected devices, and satellite availability.
- No uptime guarantee: While we include cellular backup for critical services where possible, we cannot guarantee 100% uninterrupted service.
- Coverage limitations: WiFi coverage ranges are approximate and may vary based on venue layout, building materials, and environmental conditions.
6. Client Responsibilities
- Provide accurate venue information, including access details, power availability, and any venue-specific restrictions.
- Ensure our team has access to the venue during the agreed setup window.
- Provide access to at least one standard electrical outlet within range of the setup area, unless portable power has been arranged.
- Inform us of any changes to event details (date, venue, guest count) as soon as possible.
7. Liability
MeshMaine's liability is limited to the total amount paid for services. We are not responsible for:
- Loss of revenue, data, or opportunity arising from service interruptions.
- Content accessed or transmitted by guests over our network.
- Damages caused by third-party services (Starlink, ISPs, or streaming platforms).
- Service disruptions caused by factors beyond our control, including severe weather, power failures, or venue access issues.
8. Acceptable Use
Guests and clients agree not to use our WiFi networks for any illegal activity, distribution of malicious software, or any activity that violates applicable laws. MeshMaine reserves the right to disconnect any device engaging in prohibited activity.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maine. Any disputes arising from these terms or our services shall be resolved in the courts of the State of Maine.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
